After The Storm
After 35 Years The Wild Colonials, our beloved houseband, retired. Before they left they made certain that the club was in good hands by "training-up" the next houseband - After the Storm - featuring the award winning duo "Pear" - husband and wife team, Lynae (vocals and fiddle) and Denis (vocals and mandolin) Dufresne. Labelled as "the most accomplished band you've never heard of" PEAR is taking the crossover market by storm and form the heart of our houseband! Every other club they'll take to the stage joined by long time Colonial fav Graham Tait (vocals and accordion), and Rod Walsh (vocals and guitar). They are fun, fresh and oh so fabulous! And don't be surprised if Gordie, Mansel or John show up occasionally and sit in! Alternate nights we'll introduce some wonderfully talented artists to open the evening; superb local performers and other outstanding artists that we can catch as they pass through Calgary. |
